EVENT INFORMATION

This year Winter Wonderland returns to the Civic Centre with a few extras to tempt all ages to come and join us embrace all that is winter.

Snow Pit fun, new and improved Snow Slide, foodies and markets.  So many wonderful and fun activities planned too, which we will announce closer to the event.  The most important this is that you save the date, you won't want to miss out on all the fun on Saturday, 19 July 2025. 

CALLING ALL FOODIES, MAKERS & CREATORS

Calling all foodies, makers and creators from near and far, we’re looking for you to enrich our event. We welcome everyone and no stall fees apply! Stalls could include:

• Food Stalls
• Arts & Craft
• Business Displays
• Consultant/Director Sales Businesses
• Clothing
• Condiments or Preserves
• Baked goods
• Gifts & Homeware

Applications for stall holders are now open this year with some tweaks to our application forms.  To allow the team to make the event even more successful we have re-designed the paperwork and created 2 new forms for 2025.  Please ensure you supply all the information necessary, any enquiries email community@esperance.wa.gov.au.

There are very limited spaces for the indoor market area so it will be first in best dressed.

COMMUNITY GROUPS, PERFORMERS & ARTISTS

We are looking for Groups, individuals to help make Winter Wonderland a welcoming, vibrant community event.

If you are part of a local Community Group and need to earn a little extra cash or promote yourselves to the community to increase your membership, get in contact with the team today we have a number of fundraising ideas and options for you.

Got an awesome idea, but not sure about pulling it off? Give us a call and we can have a chat!

LET'S GO WASTE FREE AT WINTER WONDERLAND

The Shire of Esperance is committed to reducing the amount of waste generated by our events. You can help with this by bringing your own reusables to Winter Wonderland.  There will be a wash station on site also for your reusables.

By using your own drink bottles, coffee cups, plates, food containers, and cutlery we can significantly reduce the amount of waste that we generate, and there will be a wash station on site for you to continue to reuse your BYO items all day.

Together, we can make a positive impact by taking small steps towards protecting our planet.

DO YOU WANT TO BUILD A SNOWMAN COMPETITION 2025

Build a snowman made from recycled and/or reusable materials.

Your snowman MUST have the date "19 July" presented on it.

Display your snowman in a prominent yet safe location. For example, out the front of your house, by the front gate of your farm, or in the front window of your business/shop.

Make sure your snowman is transportable to be able to bring it to the Winter Wonderland event on the 19th July to be judged and in the running to win some awesome prizes!!!

Build a Snowman Entry Form.

Individuals

Get creative with recycled and reusable material and build a snowman.  The end product must have the 19th of July 2025 clearly showing.

Help us promote our event by displaying your creation in the front of your yard from the 1st of July 2025 to the 19th of July 2025.

Bring your entry to the Winter Wonderland event and the public will vote for their favourite.

Prizes for each category:

• 12 years and below - $200 Gift voucher from a local business of your choice
• 13 years and over - $200 Gift voucher from a local business of your choice
• Rural Entry - $200 Gift voucher from a local business of your choice
• Town Entry - $200 Gift voucher from a local business of your choice

Local Businesses

Let us know if you would like to join in and we will deliver a promotional poster for your shop.

Your poster will include a QR code, allowing customers to vote for your window display as their favourite.

Your window display must have the date 19th July clearly included.

Prizes include:

• A certificate with your business name recognising your achievement.
• A feature article and photos from our Marketing team to boost your brand visibility.
• Photo mentions on our website and social media platforms.
• Two complimentary tickets to 10 shows hosted by the Civic Centre for the entire year!!

Schools

Get creative with recycled and reusable material and build a snowman for your school.  

Help us promote our event by creating a school snowman for a chance to earn your school an experience put together by the Community Development Team - this could be a disco, lunch activity or movie night.  We'll provide the equipment and the fun and an opportunity for you to fundraise for your school.

Bring your entry to the Winter Wonderland event and the public will vote for their favourite

Register by the 14th July 2025 through the Shire website to be part of the magic, and we'll take care of the rest.

Student Snowflake Bingo

School Students and Home School Students can draw, build or craft their own unique snowflakes using materials from school or home - whether it's a hand drawn design on recycled paper or a creation made from popsicle sticks, the only limit is the imagination!

If your school would like to participate, let us know via community@esperance.wa.gov.au.

Get the kids busy creating their own unique snowflake.

Snowflakes should be no more than A4 size.

All snowflake creations will be showcased as part of the Winter Wonderland decorations for everyone to enjoy.  To add some extra excitement, we'll number the entries and hold a lucky draw of random winners who will receive a $30 voucher to a variety of local businesses, there are 20 to be won.

All we need from you are the entries to be dropped into the Shire office by the 14th of July along with a list of participants, school and contact number and we'll do the rest.
