Rangers
Shire of Esperance Ranger Services deal with cat and dog related issues, littering, abandoned vehicles, parking, firebreak inspections, livestock on roads and illegal camping.
The Esperance Rangers can be contacted Monday to Friday between 7:30am - 4.30pm on: (08) 9083 1533. If your call goes to our MessageBank service please leave your name, contact number and a brief description of your enquiry.
Esperance Rangers are on duty 7 days a week, however on weekends, public holidays and after hours all calls are answered by a call centre who will contact the on-call duty Ranger and they will attend to your call should it be neccesary. Should your call not be attended to, it will be actioned within the next working day.
Alternatively you can email your enquiry to: rangers@esperance.wa.gov.au
See Something, Say Something - Illegal Camping
The Esperance region has some of the most unique ecosystems and landscapes. Please camp in designated camp sites to keep the area thriving and safe.
Unfortunately, many camp wherever they please, not thinking about the damage they are causing and selfishly leaving behind rubbish and used toilet paper.
If you witness:
- Unauthorised camping
- Vegetation being damaged
- Littering
- Defecating in public areas (aka pooing in the bush)
- Lighting fires, or
- Damaging infrastructure
You can help by noting the vehicle registration number and contacting the Shire Rangers on (08) 9083 1533 or rangers@esperance.wa.gov.au. If you reach MessageBank, leave your name, number, and enquiry and the Rangers will get back to you.
