What is the Early Bird Rates Draw?
The Early Bird Rates Draw rewards ratepayers who pay their annual rates in full and on time.
All eligible ratepayers who pay their rates in full by the due date are automatically entered into the Shire of Esperance’s Early Rates Incentive Scheme - no additional sign-up required.
The draw is typically held each year across August and September. Pensioners and seniors who pay their rebate amount in full by the due date are also eligible.
Council contributes $12,500 annually to support the initiative, with additional prizes generously provided by local and regional businesses. Together, this creates a prize pool valued at over $20,000.
Please note:
Ratepayers who choose to pay via instalments or alternative arrangements are not eligible for entry.

Paying rates early benefits the whole community.
Early payments provide the Shire with greater financial certainty, allowing us to deliver important projects, infrastructure, and community services sooner.
