Access to Observatory Beach (west of Observatory Point) is temporarily closed after storm surge and high tides from the long weekend wild weather washed out the stairs.
Shire staff will be working with contractors to get this and the access to 10 Mile Lagoon, heavily damaged in an earlier storm event, repaired as soon as possible.
Conditions at beach access points can vary day to day. Please be mindful of tides, swell and any signs of damage when using stairs.
