Mingle With A Mission

If your community group, sporting or arts organisation, school, or local association is planning something exciting for the year ahead, now is the perfect time to start turning those ideas into action. On 10 February at 5.30pm, the Civic Centre will come alive with opportunity as Shire Community Development staff host the annual Mingle with the Grant Makers Sundowner.

This much-appreciated gathering brings a range of funding bodies together under one roof, making it easier than ever for local groups to connect with the organisations that can help bring their projects to life. Representatives from Horizon Power, the Mt Burdett Foundation, the Ag Fund, Rotary, Southern Ports, the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport, and the Shire of Esperance, among others, will be available to talk directly with attendees about the grants they offer and the kind of initiatives they’re eager to support.

Navigating the grant world can feel overwhelming, especially for first‑time applicants, but you don’t have to do it alone. By attending Mingle with the Grant Makers, you’ll learn directly from the people who understand the process best. It’s an opportunity to ask questions in a relaxed atmosphere, float ideas, gain clarity around guidelines, and gather the kind of practical advice that’s hard to find online.

If you’re considering applying for any grant in 2026 - big or small - this is the event to attend. Come along, have a chat, spark new possibilities, and set your project up for success.
