Here’s the truth: a Public Health Plan can sound a bit “government-y”. But it’s really about making everyday life across the Esperance region safer, easier, and better, at home, at work, and out in the community.
This plan is about the things that shape everyday health, not just hospitals. It’s a five-year guide to what Esperance should focus on next, and your feedback helps make sure the priorities reflect real local needs.
This is about your day-to-day. If it affects your life here, it belongs in this plan.
Think:
- safe places to live and work
- clear info when it matters
- fewer risks in the community
- support that makes sense for Esperance life, not Perth life
We want a plan that feels practical and useful, and that only happens when we hear directly from the people living and working here.
We’ve already heard from a range of locals, and that feedback is shaping what we focus on and what actions matter most. Now we’re on the home stretch, and we want more voices in the mix before the survey closes.
Still time to have your say
The Public Health Plan survey is open till the 28 February.

A few minutes. One cuppa. Done. Tell us what you value, what gets in the way, and what would actually make a difference.
Clubs + Tradies: we especially want to hear from you
Some people see what’s happening on the ground more than anyone, and right now we’re keen to hear from:
- Local clubs and community groups. You know what keeps people connected and what stops them from getting involved. Help us understand what supports participation, and what barriers are getting in the way.

Closes: 28 February, 2026
- Tradies and the building/renovation industry. You see real-world safety issues up close, including how risks like asbestos are being handled locally. Help us lift awareness and reduce accidental exposure by improving info, expectations and education.

This plan will guide how the Shire supports health and wellbeing across the region. It should reflect real Esperance priorities, not assumptions.
