The Esperance Family History Inc. (EFHS) is a not-for-profit group that aims to assist anyone wanting to research their family history. This includes searches for people of any ethnicity, across Australia and around the world, not just those with connections to the local Esperance or West Australian areas.
The EFHS library/research room is located within the Esperance Museum. The EFHS library (approx. 3000 items) includes books, periodicals, local family histories, microfiche, and numerous other resources. There are also computers with online subscriptions to Ancestry and other genealogical sites. The Esperance Museum also houses a vast collection of local newspapers that may be accessed through Museum staff.
Members are in attendance to assist on THURSDAYS between 10.00 am and 2.00 pm, when the Museum is open. Affordable membership is available and includes online resources. More information and genealogy tips are available on the EFHS Facebook group page.
