National Volunteer Week is a time to shine a spotlight on Esperance's heart and soul - its volunteers! From May 20 to 26, we celebrate the spirit of community that thrives in our town, thanks to the dedication of our volunteers. It’s been a bustling year with the Esperance Volunteer Resource Centre (EVRC) welcoming over 50 new volunteers into a variety of roles, enriching more than 60 local organisations.
Cait Edwards, the EVRC Coordinator, proudly shares that Esperance boasts one of the highest volunteering rates state-wide. “An impressive 24.3% of Esperance residents contribute their time and skills, embodying the essence of community spirit and connectivity.”
The EVRC is thrilled to host a "Night at the Museum". Join us on May 21, from 5 to 7 pm at the Esperance Museum, to honour the incredible contributions of our volunteers. It doesn't matter if you've given an hour of your time or over 100; every effort counts in weaving the vibrant tapestry of our community. To be part of this event, RSVP to volunteer@esperance.wa.gov.au, and include your name and the organisation you've volunteered with. Let's come together to celebrate the generous spirit that makes Esperance truly remarkable!
