FAQ

Do I need to book accommodation before coming to Esperance?

Yes. Esperance is a long way from anywhere and books out very quickly, especially over the summer period. If you want the guarantee of a place to stay, book ahead.

Can I book the Overflow?

No, bookings are not accepted for the Overflow Campground. The Overflow Campground is designed for those arriving in town with nowhere to stay.

Where are the free camps in Esperance?

There are no free camps in Esperance. Camping at designated campgrounds, caravan parks or the Overflow over the summer period are the only options. Rangers carry out patrols, and illegal camping attracts a $2,000 fine.

Can I camp at Membinup Beach?

No. There are a number of beaches that are day use only and camping at these sites is not permitted. There are designated campsites at Munglinup Beach, Quagi Beach, Alexander Bay and within the National Parks.
