Living Well, Staying Home

Esperance Home Care (EHC) is proud to help local residents maintain their independence and continue living comfortably in their own homes. From Meals on Wheels to assistance with cleaning, gardening, personal care, transport, and carer support and respite, EHC offers a wide range of services tailored to individual needs.

Staying socially connected is vital to wellbeing — and the vibrant EHC Social Program caters to this need. With group activities run every weekday and every second Saturday, devoted EHC staff aim to keep clients engaged, active, and enjoying life in the community.

Recent outings have included: the Friday What’ll Ladies exploring the Lester Prize Exhibition at the Cannery Arts Centre; the Sunshiners Group visiting the Esperance Goldfields Surf Life Saving Club, the Bird & Animal Park, and Lucky Bay just during their May program; and the Friday Men enjoying a tour of the Mechanical Restoration Group — topped off with fresh scones and a cuppa!

And that’s just the beginning – there’s also a Monday Movie Club, Tuesday Centre Group and Tuesday Shop Bus in the morning and afternoon, Wednesday Craft Club and Games Group, Thursday Physio Group, and a Social Club taking clients to lunch and on outings all over Esperance and surrounds every second Saturday.

EHC’s dedicated staff support over 350 residents with the help of 140-plus wonderful volunteers. Services are delivered through referrals from My Aged Care (assistance with My Aged Care applications is available), the NDIS, Commonwealth Home Support Program, and Veterans’ Home Care, with information on this available in the EHC information pages on the Shire website.

It’s no surprise that EHC staff regularly receive glowing feedback for their commitment, care and work ethic. A huge thank you from all to our devoted EHC team of staff and volunteers — your work makes a difference every single day.
