Help Set the Direction for the Next 10 Years

The Council Plan is more than just a document; it’s the Shire of Esperance’s strategic blueprint for the next decade. It outlines our priorities, goals, and actions, ensuring that every decision, every dollar, and every service aligns with what matters most to our community.

Every four years, the Plan gets a refresh to make sure it still reflects the values and aspirations of the people who call Esperance home. Thanks to the insights shared through the 2025 Community Scorecard, we already have a strong foundation. Now, we’re checking in to make sure we’ve got it right.

We’re inviting all residents, businesses, and community groups to join us at the Esperance Civic Centre for upcoming community workshops on:

  • Wednesday 19 November | 6pm-8pm
  • Thursday 20 November | 9:30am-11:30am
  •

These sessions are your opportunity to help confirm that the draft Council Plan accurately reflects the priorities identified in the Scorecard. Your feedback will help shape the final version of the Plan and ensure it continues to serve our community effectively.

Why get involved?

The Council Plan is the instruction manual for Council and everyone working at the Shire. It guides our daily work and is reported on monthly through the Ordinary Council Meeting agendas and minutes. By participating now, you’re helping set the direction for how we serve the community - today and into the future.

We’d love to see you there! Whether you’re a long-time local or new to town, your perspective helps us build a better Esperance for everyone.
