Great Response to Community Scorecard – Thank You!

The 2023 Community Scorecard Survey is now closed. We were hoping for a response from 10% of our population, and thanks to you it looks like we’re fairly close. The most recent data showing over 1,100 completed surveys - you rock!

While the survey was open we talked to you about the many ways Council and the Shire have acted on the wishes of the community, expressed in the 2021 survey. Pretty much in the middle of the survey period we got a huge result from one of these priorities – Tourism Attractions and Marketing – when Lucky Bay won the Best Beach in the World!

Over 750 of the world’s most recognised influencers, journalists and experts vote on this award; how did they become aware of our own Lucky Bay? Through the innovative marketing campaigns put in place by the Esperance Regional Tourism Development Manager, a role created by Council in partnership with Australia’s Golden Outback after receiving the 2021 survey results. Rest assured, Council and the Shire are listening to you.

All the surveys submitted for this 2023 Community Scorecard survey are with CATALYSE or making their way through the postal system to them. Once CATALYSE have the last of the paper copies they’ll get into the nitty gritty of what you’ve told us, and report back on their analysis. After that which we’ll report back to you – this is super exciting because we’re going to find out how our community’s sentiment has changed since the 2021 survey, and get updated instructions from you for the next 10 years.

The more people we hear from, the better and more representative the resulting information and directions for the future will be.

Council and the Shire are committed to doing the best possible job for our community and region, and are grateful for the time you gave to complete the important 2023 Community Scorecard survey.
