Esperance’s Tiny House Champion

Congratulations to our Manager of Development Services, Richard Hindley, whose advocacy, mentoring and advice to industry, and services to community has been recognised with Australian Tiny House Association (ATHA) naming him Tiny House Champion!

As head of Development Services, Richard was instrumental in working with his team to get the Tiny Houses on Wheels Local Planning Policy up and running. This was the first such Policy in Australia, giving our community the ability to install tiny houses on wheels with the peace of mind that comes from knowing their structures are compliant.

Richard will be added to the illustrious company of Tiny House Champions featured on the ATHA website, with Vice President John Cameron passing on ATHA’s “great appreciation for your vision and dedication to removing barriers for dwelling in moveable tiny houses in Esperance, Capel and Ravensthorpe Shires to date, as well as Western Australia generally.  Your dedication and commitment is creating new hope for many and helping to address the crisis of housing supply and affordability currently afflicting so many Australians.”
