NEWS: Support at Home

Overview of Support at Home (SAH)

From the 1st November 2025, Support at Home replaces the Home Care Packages (HCP) Program and Short-Term Restorative Care (STRC) Programme, making it easier to get the right support at home.

Whether you need help with daily tasks, health services, or home adaptations, the program focuses on your individual
needs to promote health, activity, and community connections. If you're currently on an HCP, your services will transition smoothly— we'll guide you through any updates.

What About the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)?

For now, there are no major changes to the CHSP, it will continue as is from 1 November 2025.

However, it may integrate into Support at Home no earlier than 1 July 2027. This gradual approach gives everyone time to prepare.

If you're receiving CHSP services, rest assured your support remains unchanged in the short term, but we'll keep you informed of future developments.
