Help Shape the Future of Flinders Estate

The Shire of Esperance is inviting the community to help shape the future of Flinders Estate and meet directly with the planning team developing the new Flinders Estate Concept Plan.

Whether you're interested in housing, tourism opportunities, transport connections, environmental considerations or the future character of the area, our planning team will be available at a series of Pop In Sessions to answer questions, discuss ideas and hear what matters most to you.

This is a valuable opportunity to speak one-on-one with the people undertaking the planning work, learn more about the opportunities and challenges being considered, and provide feedback before any future planning decisions are made.

Flinders Estate is one of Esperance's key growth areas. The existing Outline Development Plan was prepared more than 20 years ago, and significant changes have occurred since then, including updated planning requirements, coastal hazard mapping, infrastructure planning, heritage investigations and evolving community expectations.

No decisions have been made. This consultation is the first step in understanding community priorities and exploring how the remaining undeveloped areas of Flinders Estate can best meet Esperance's future needs.

Feedback gathered during the consultation period will help inform an updated structure plan that balances housing needs, economic opportunities, environmental considerations and community aspirations.
