Discover the Shire: Your Quest Begins – Terms & Conditions

  1. Organiser

The Discover the Shire: Your Quest Begins activity is organised by the Shire of Esperance (ABN 60 034 434 085), referred to in these Terms & Conditions as “the Shire.”

  1. Eligibility
  • Entry is free and open to all members of the public attending the Esperance Show.
  • Participants under 18 years of age must have permission from a parent or guardian to enter.
  • Shire employees and their immediate families are welcome to participate but are not eligible to win a prize.
  1. How to Enter
  • Collect a Discover the Shire Passport from one of the Shire of Esperance stalls at the Esperance Show.
  • Visit participating Shire stalls and complete the listed “quests.”
  • Each stall will stamp your passport after you complete their activity.
  • To enter the prize draw, you must collect a minimum of five (5) stamps and submit your completed passport to the entry box located at the Shire Information Tent by 2.30pm Saturday, 18 October 2025.
  • Only one entry per person is permitted.
  1. Prize Details
  • There are two (2) prizes, each consisting of a $250 local shopping voucher redeemable at participating local businesses.
  • The total prize pool value is $500.00.
  • Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
  1. Winner Selection & Notification
  • All eligible entries will be placed into a random draw to be conducted by Shire staff at approximately 2.30pm on Saturday, 18 October 2025 at the Shire Information Tent.
  • Winners will be notified by phone using the contact details provided on their passport entry form.
  • Winners may also be announced on the Shire’s Facebook page.
  • If a winner cannot be contacted within one (1) day, a redraw may occur at the Shire’s discretion.
  1. Privacy
  • Personal information collected during this promotion will be used solely for the purposes of administering the activity, contacting winners, and (if consent is given) signing up to the Shires electronic newsletters, sharing updates about Shire programs and events.
  • The Shire of Esperance will manage all personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act.
  1. General Conditions
  • By participating, entrants agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions and the decisions of the Shire, which are final.
  • The Shire reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry deemed incomplete or inaccurate.
  • The Shire reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion if unforeseen circumstances arise.
  • The Shire accepts no responsibility for lost, late, or damaged entries.
