You’ll find details of local history, waste and recycling, emergency preparedness, pet registration, sun and water safety, and more, all in one easy-to-find spot. There will be simple advice, hands-on activities and giveaways for the whole family.
Meet Councillors and Directors
Find our Councillors and Directors at the Shire tents during the Show – they would love to hear from you! Drop in with a question or idea, or simply come along to find out what’s happening around the district. It’s an easy way to have a face-to-face chat with our decision-makers.
Celebrate 50 Years of Local History
Join us in celebrating 50 years of the Esperance Museum! Explore a special display showcasing anniversary projects and local stories, strike a pose for a Museum Mug Shot, or leave a message in Letters to the Future. This salute to the people, places and memories that make Esperance home is the perfect complement to the 2026 Show.
Health, Safety and Community Wellbeing
Our Environmental Health team will share straightforward tips to help keep you and your household safe and well. Find out about sun safety, Fight the Bite mosquito information, asbestos awareness, MaPs (Mental and Physical Safety) on Our Roads and safe chemical handling. You can also spin the wheel, pick up a giveaway and grab practical advice for your family.
Bay of Isles Leisure Centre
Want to get moving or feel more confident around the water? Have a chat with the Bay of Isles Leisure Centre team about the gym, local programs and water safety. They’re keen to help people of all ages and abilities find the best option to suit their needs.
Waste & Recycling
Bring your recycling questions and have a go at the Waste and Recycling team’s hands-on activities. See the FOGO food waste display, test what goes where at the recycling station, learn how small changes at home can help you Sort Smart, Save Big, and find out about the proposed new On-Demand Collection Service.
Rangers and Community Safety
Come and say hello to our knowledgeable Rangers for useful advice on keeping pets, people, and our shared spaces safe. Ask about responsible pet ownership, how to renew pet registration, firebreaks and the Hazard Reduction Notice, or the SharkSmart app and beach safety. You will leave with clear steps to put into action at home.
Emergency Preparedness
Warmer weather is on the way, so now is a good time to get ready for bushfire season. Our Emergency Services staff will be on hand with practical activities and advice to help you prepare your home. Stop by, ask questions and find out what you and your neighbours can do now to be better prepared for our challenging summers.
