UPDATE 4:41pm - This warning has been downgraded to an ADVICE.
- The alert level for this fire has been downgraded as the fire is contained and controlled.
- There is no threat to lives or homes.
- Although there is no immediate danger you need to be aware and keep up to date in case the situation changes.
- Roads are open at REDUCED SPEED

BUSHFIRE BEHAVIOUR 
The bushfire is stationary.
It is contained but not controlled.
WHAT FIREFIGHTERS ARE DOING
Firefighters are on the scene, .
SAFEST ROUTE
If you live in the warning area and plan to leave, you can head towards the Esperance townsite to the Indoor Sports Stadium located on Black Street. .
ROAD CLOSURES AND CONDITIONS
Avoid the area and be aware of fire and emergency services personnel working on site.
A number of roads have been closed including:
- Pink Lake Road from Downes Street to Rowse Street
- Connolly Street from Twilight Beach Road to Pink Lake Road
Motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully due to smoke.

UPDATE 2:59pm - A bushfire EMERGENCY WARNING is in place for people bounded by Downes Street, Pink Lake Road, Winston Way, Edwards Street, Munro Lane, Dalyup Drive, Rowse Street, Freeman Street, Thompson Street and Connolly Street in eastern part of PINK LAKE in the SHIRE OF ESPERANCE.
• You are in danger and need to act immediately to survive. There is a threat to lives and homes.
WHAT TO DO
• If the way is clear, leave now for a safer place or evacuation centre Esperance Indoor Sports Stadium at the Greater Sports Ground, Black Street.
• Do not wait and see, leaving at the last minute could put your life in danger.
• Close all doors and windows and turn off evaporative air conditioners, but keep water running through the system if possible.
• If you cannot leave, you need to get ready to shelter in your home.
• Go to a room in your home away from the firefront and make sure you can easily escape.
• Choose a room with two exits and water such as a kitchen or laundry.

• If you are not at home, it’s too dangerous to return.
EVACUATION CENTRE: Esperance Indoor Stadium, Greater Sports Ground. This is the pick-up point for parents. There is increased traffic in the area, please slow down and be considerate of others.
BUSHFIRE BEHAVIOUR - The bushfire is moving fast in a northerly direction. It is out of control and unpredictable.
