The Shire of Esperance has been made aware of a casualty at the bushfire incident in the Coomalbidgup area.
Our hearts are broken for what has occurred today.

At this time the WA Police investigation is ongoing.

The fire is still out of control and unpredictable. Volunteer firefighters and aerial water bombers are on location.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, and with the fire crews as they continue their work.

The Shire of Esperance will not be commenting further until further information is provided from the investigation that is currently being conducted by WA Police.
