This month’s Ordinary Council Meeting (OCM) will be held at the Gibson Football Club from 4pm, Tuesday 27 September, as the tradition of holding the September OCM in a regional centre each year continues.
Shire Councillors and Executive staff know how vital our satellite towns and communities are to the Esperance region. Taking the OCM out to them gives our more isolated communities the opportunity to see local government processes in action, demonstrates the availability of our local representatives, and increases transparency.
Councillors are able to get a better understanding of the needs and aspirations of our rural populations, and look forward to chatting with locals at the catch up session afterwards. With our Local Government Elections less than two months away, this is a great chance to talk to current Councillors and see how it all works.

Council Meetings are usually live-streamed through the Shire Youtube channel, however the voice recording for this OCM will be uploaded to this channel in the week after the meeting.
Get yourself out to the Gibson Football Club for 4pm Tuesday 26 September, prepare a question for Public Question Time, watch the Council Meeting, and then catch up with Councillors afterwards!.
