What is the Early Bird Rates Draw?

All ratepayers who pay their rates in full by the due date will be given automatic entry into the Shire's Early Rates Incentive Scheme Prize Draw to win 1 of many prizes!

The draw occurs typically in August/September annually and pensioners/seniors who pay their rebate amount in full by the due date are also eligible.

Council contributes $12,500 each year as an incentive to ratepayers to pay their rates by the due date.

This initiative is made possible by the generous sponsorship of many local and regional businesses who supply cash, goods and/or services to make up exciting prize packages for our winners, increasing the total prize pool to over $20,000!

Note: Ratepayers opting to pay their rates via two or four instalment Options 2, 3 or by alternative arrangements are unfortunately not eligible to enter into the draw to win a prize.

Why do we have the Early Bird incentive?

When our community pay their rates early it goes a long way toward helping the Shire deliver on major projects and community provided services sooner rather than later.

With the support from local businesses we have experienced positive engagement with our ratepayers and encouraged our community to shop local, helping in creating a vibrant and diverse economic growth within our community.
