Standing Committee Inquiry into Regional Telecommunications in WA

We have been advised that the Legislative Council Standing Committee on Public Administration is undertaking an inquiry into regional telecommunications in WA.

The terms of reference are:

The Standing Committee on Public Administration resolves to inquire into and report on issues impacting regional telecommunications in Western Australia.

The Shire of Esperance intends to submit a report on how telecommunications issues impact our region as a whole.

We urge our community to make their own submissions directly to the committee. You can also provide comments to the Shire CEO for consideration for inclusion as part of the Shire’s submission.

Submissions close at midnight on 26 Apr 2024 and can be done online HERE.

To submit comments to the Shire for consideration, please send them to the Chief Executive Officer via shire@esperance.wa.gov.au no later than 23 April 2024, with the subject title “Regional Telecommunications Inquiry.”
