James Street Beach Enclosure

 James Street Beach Enclosure

Complementing the relaxing Esperance Foreshore, the James Street Beach Enclosure creates a safe, family and all abilities friendly swimming area, central to town.

Encompassing the James Street Jetty, Ocean Slide and 50m Lap Pontoon, the area lends itself to the BBQ and shade areas, as well as the all abilities playground.

From April 2022, a beach wheelchair will be available loan, and beach matting will be installed, allowing more people to enjoy the area.

Facility users are responsible for their own safety and children should be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

The Shire of Esperance accepts no responsibility for loss or injury.

Project Funded by:

  • Lap Pontoon – $430,000 Australian Government: Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program
  • Shark Barrier – $400,000 WA State Government
