Tales of the Esperance Tanker Jetty

The “Tanker Chronicles” project focused on gathering and recording community memories and engagement with the iconic Esperance Tanker Jetty over the last 86 years. The “Tanker Chronicles” project centred around stories that pay tribute to the sense of community pride and engagement with the Esperance Tanker Jetty, whilst paying homage to the social & emotional connection. The consultation period ran from November 2019 to March 2020.

With a total of 45 written submissions recieved and over 70 photographs submitted The Tanker Chronicles book has now been completed and is available for purchase from The Book Box Esperance located in Muesum Village.

This Project was a joint community project between the Shire of Esperance and Wayward Nation.
