We offer a range of benefits which include:

  • Generous Superannuation
    In addition to the compulsory 9.5% superannuation contribution, if you choose to contribute an additional amount the Shire of Esperance will match your contribution up to a maximum of 5%.
  • Employee Wellness Initiatives
    Membership to the Bay of Isles Leisure Centre for full time employees includes access to the swimming pool and fully equipped gym. Comprehensive health and wellbeing programs are offered including free flu shots, skin cancer screenings, health and ergonomic assessments.
  • Social Club
    Shire of Esperance employees can join our social club which conducts a variety of events ranging from family friendly occasions to two hour sundowners and an end of year Christmas party.
  • Rostered Days Off
    Shire of Esperance staff work a 40 hour week on a 19 day month rotation. A rostered day off can be taken at a time convenient for the employee with their manager's approval.
  • Training and Development
    We invest in our employees by providing ongoing training and development opportunities. These may be in the form of on the job training, mentoring, formal education, short courses, conferences and workshops.
  • Free Professional Employee Assistance Counselling Service
    The Shire of Esperance provides additional support for all employees through an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). If you are an employee of the Shire of Esperance you can access this with complete confidentiality through our Human Resources Manager.
