Retail Trading Hours in Esperance

Esperance retail trading hours are, for the most part, consistent with hours approved by the State Government for general retail shops outside the Perth metropolitan area:

•           8.00am to 6.00pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

•           8.00am to 9.00pm on Thursday

•           8.00am to 5.00pm on Saturday

•           Closed on Sundays and Public Holidays

Additionally, a permanent change to Christmas trading hours was introduced in Esperance in 2014 to benefit local businesses and shoppers by providing long-term clarity to the hours that retailers could open through this period.

Please note: these are the hours that retailers can be open. Retailers are not required to open on these days.
Additionally, those businesses that hold a ‘Small Retail Shop Certificate’ can trade 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
