Proposed closure of public access way

between CHESTNUT STREET and MAGNOLIA CRESCENT, Castletown

Lot 766 AND LOT 738 MAGNOLIA, Castletown

Notice is hereby given that Council has initiated the road closure process following a request for closure of the Public Access Way between Chestnut Street and Magnolia Crescent identified as Lot 766 and Lot 738 Magnolia Crescent, Castletown.

The reason for pursuing the closure of this Public Access Way is due to a number of break-ins at the adjoining properties where the Public Access Way has been used as either a method of entry or a method of escape.

The proposal calls for the complete closure of the Public Access Way.

As per the provisions of Section 58 of the Land Administration Act 1997, this proposal is currently being advertised for public comment.

Submissions (in writing indicating support or objection to the proposal, including reasons for objection) on the proposal may be made in writing and lodged with the Shire of Esperance on or before closure of business on 9 January 2025.
