Change of Use to Tavern – Lot 25 (51) The Esplanade, Esperance

The Shire of Esperance is in receipt of an application to change the use of the existing building at Lot 25 (51) The Esplanade, Esperance to a tavern.

Comments on the proposal must be addressed in writing to the CEO at the Shire of Esperance and submitted by no later than close of business on 14 July 2020.

Local Government Act 1995

Disposal of Property Notice

In accordance with Section 3.58 of the Local Government Act 1995,the Shire of Esperance gives public notice of its intention to lease the following property;

Property – Lot 2112 Helms Drive, Pink Lake

Party Involved – Telstra Corporation Limited

Terms – 5 years

Consideration - $500 ex GST p.a. as determined by Council Res # O0620-201

Policy Adoption

The Regional Price Preference Policy was adopted at their Ordinary Council Meeting of Tuesday 23 June 2020

A copy of the Regional Price Preference Policy can be found here, or a hard copy may be requested at the Administration Building on Windich Street.

Open for Public Comment – Amendment No.6 to Local Planning Scheme No. 24

A Scheme Amendment has been prepared by the Shire of Esperance for the purpose of:

  1. Amending Schedule 5 - Special Use Zone 3 (SU3) by replacing the description of land with 'Lot(s) 203, 204, 205 and 206 Orleans Bay Road, Condingup';
  2. Amending Schedule 5 - Special Use Zone 3 (SU3) by inserting under Special Use 'Caravan Park' as a 'D' use;
  3. Amending Schedule 5 - Special Use Zone 3 (SU3) by amending subclause b)(i) under Conditions by replacing 'dated April 2008' with 'Plan No. 22070-01'; and
  4. Amending Schedule 5 - Special Use Zone 3 (SU3) by inserting under Conditions a new subclause under H): 'iii) The strata titling of a caravan park is not permitted.'

Plans and documents setting out and explaining Scheme Amendment 6 have been deposited at the Shire Office, Windich Street, Esperance and will be available for inspection during office hours, or via this link : Shire of Esperance Amendment No. 6

This Amendment is now in the advertising and public comment stage. Submissions on the Scheme Amendment may be made in writing and lodged with the Chief Executive Officer on or before 12 August 2020.

Expressions of Interest

Expressions of Interest; Old Police Sergeant’s Quarters and Old Station Master’s Ticket Box, Museum Village

The Shire of Esperance invites expressions of interest to lease the following properties for a period of for up to 5 years:

Old Police Sergeant’s Quarters

Old Station Master’s Ticket Box

The outlets shall promote local and regional arts and crafts, local produce and/or tourism retail.
