Proposed Place of Worship, Replacement of Non-conforming Land Use (Single House) and associated works at Lot 317 Norseman Road and Lot 900 Shelden Road, Chadwick

Notice is hereby given that Council has received an Application for Development Approval for a Proposed Place of Worship, Replacement of Non-conforming Land Use (Single House) and associated works at Lot 317 Norseman Road and Lot 900 Shelden Road, Chadwick.

In accordance with the provisions of Local Planning Scheme No. 24, Place of Worship is an ‘A’ land use and can only be considered subject to Clause 64 of the Deemed Provisions of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015

As per the provisions of Clause 64 of the Deemed Provisions of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015, this proposal is currently being advertised for public comment.

Open for Public Comment:

Closure of a portion of the road reserve for Beech Street where is adjoins Lot 201 (2) Beech Street, Castletown.

Notice is hereby given that Council has initiated the road closure process for a portion of the road reserve for Beech Street where it adjoins Lot 201 (2) Beech Street, Castletown.

The reason for pursuing the closure of a portion of the Road Reserve is due to the portion of land having been fenced and used for industrial activities by the owner of Lot 201 (2) Beech Street, Castletown. As the portion of the intersection affected does not impact on sight lines for the intersection and does not impact on movement of pedestrians and vehicles, it is the position of the Shire of Esperance that the impacted section of road reserve can be closed with little or no impact on road users.

As per the provisions of Section 58 of the Land Administration Act 1997, this proposal is currently being advertised for public comment.

Submissions (in writing indicating support or objection to the proposal, including reasons for objection) on the proposal may be made in writing and lodged with the Shire of Esperance on or before closure of business on 10 June 2022.
