PUBLIC NOTICE – Extension of Prohibited Burning time – Urban-Rural Zone

Pursuant to Section 17 Bush Fires Act 1954 the Shire of Esperance advises it will be extending its Prohibited Burning Time (PBT) for the following zones and periods;

Prohibited Burning will be extended by twenty-eight days (28) calendar days for the Urban-Rural Zone to now conclude midnight Tuesday, 28 March 2023.

This is due to dry seasonal conditions and means;

• NO fires are to be lit in the open air during this period, and
• NO fire permits will be issued by Fire Control Officers.

This decision will be reviewed at that date having regard for the seasonal conditions applicable at that time.
