Council Meeting - Hello Salmon Gums!
Councillors will hit the road next week, with Salmon Gums hosting the September Ordinary Council Meeting (OCM) at the Community Hall from 4pm, Tuesday 27 September.
Our satellite towns are so important; taking Council out to them gives people who wouldn’t usually make it to a Council Meeting the opportunity to see local government processes, demonstrates the availability of our local representatives, and increases transparency.
Councillors are able to get a better understanding of the needs and aspirations of our remote populations, and are excited to chat with locals at the Community Meeting and light BBQ to be held afterwards at the same location.
Check out what Council will be voting on - the Agenda for this meeting is available on our webpages here.
Council Meetings are usually live-streamed through the Shire Youtube channel, however the voice recording for this OCM will be uploaded to the Youtube channel in the week after the meeting.
All are welcome - come along, witness local government at work, and talk to Councillors about topics important to you. For catering purposes, please RSVP by Monday 22 September to elise.godwin@esperance.wa.gov.au.
We hope to see you there!
