The Shire advises that concreting works will take place in front of Bankwest and is currently on schedule. The closure of the Bankwest ATM will be on the 16 of November. Works alongside Westpac are scheduled to finish by the 16 of November.

Landscaping works are underway, reticulation and the controller cabinet will be installed in the Andrew Street islands this week. Native plants for Andrew Street have been delivered and are being cared for in the Shire nursery in preparation for planting. Garden bed edging is currently been installed in Andrew St islands and the planting of native plants will commence on the 18 of November. 

Next week the chair surrounding the Norfolk Island pine tree will be removed to allow concrete and paving works to be completed around the Post Office Square. Once the chair has been refurbished it will be reinstated. The works around the Norfolk Island pine tree are to help create a bigger footprint for it’s structural root system, in an effort to try and minimise any future impact to this much loved local icon.
