If you’re keen for a walk or ride, there are some new paths around town including the footpath along Daw Drive which was identified as important through community engagement.
You can now ride or walk all the way to the Newtown Oval and the Esperance Turf club thanks to funding through the Western Australian Bicycle Network (WABN) grants program. The new shared recreational path extends from the end of the existing path network at the intersection of Frank Freeman Drive and Goldfields Road to the entrance to the Newtown Oval off Bandy Creek Road via Fisheries Road.

You can help locate future paths by completing the Draft Cycling Strategy, one idea includes a pathway along Shelden Road.
