This year 91 outstanding employers and self-employers from local, national and international organisations have been presented with a Volunteer Employer Recognition Award. Congratulations to Barbeques Galore - Esperance (not pictured), the Shire of Esperance, Landmark, Esperance Senior High School - Education Support Centre, Chris Buckley Conveyancing, and Farmers Centre (WA) PTY LTD.

Volunteers are a critical part of the emergency response throughout the State. Approximately 30,000 volunteers across Western Australia representing Bush Fire Brigade, State Emergency Service, Volunteer Fire and Emergency Service, Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service,  Volunteer Marine Rescue Service and St John’s Ambulance. Without the support and flexibility of the employers allowing them time to offer their services, they would not be able to contribute so often to attend emergencies, rest after an incident or attend training.

Thank you for your immense contribution to your employees and your community.
