This year marks the 30th Anniversary of Esperance’s twin town relationship with Saint Martin de Re (a town located on an island just off the west coast of France). We will be celebrating with a French Film Night on Saturday 14 July to watch Marguerite. Tickets include a glass of wine, French cheese tasters and pre-film performances. Doors open 6pm, entertainment from 6:30pm and the film begins at 7pm.Tickets can be purchased from the library. With a view to support the twin town ethos of increasing the friendship between St Martin and Esperance, the Twin Towns Student Exchange Program commenced in 1990. The Shire and Esperance Lions Club have supported over 27 student exchanges to Saint-Martin de Ré and are due to host its 30th student.
