As school goes back it’s a good time to think about where we can and can’t park, particularly around schools. It’s the driver’s responsibility to park their car legally to help ease parking issues and keep our children safe. Please do not park on footpaths or median strips, block driveways or obstruct pedestrian crossings; and please obey all signage. A common misconception is that it is better to park on a footpath or verge than on the road, you may be taking up less space on the road, but this makes it more dangerous for path users, particularly those with prams, wheelchairs or on mobility scooters.

You can make things move more smoothly by walking or cycling to school, parking a little further away and obeying street signage. If you need help or advice on parking contact Ranger Services during office hours on 9053 1533
