Recently a 98 year old Esperance Dog registration tag was found while metal detecting along the beach area on The Esplanade. With a 1920 date it shows that Esperance residents have been registering their dogs for nearly 100 years!

Under the Western Australia Dog Act 1976 dogs are required to be microchipped & wear a current registration tag, be kept under control by means of a leash, cord or chain which is held by the owner/responsible person and not threaten, chase, rush at or attack any person or animal.

Don’t forget to keep your dog under your control at all times. Walking your dog is essential for its health, keeping it from harms way is also vitally important. We all love it when we can bring our dog to work, especially on a work site, but please make sure they don’t wander off.
