Three trees were planted near the Museum Village this week. Dwarf Pink Lemon-scented Gums (Corymbia citriodora) have replaced trees that had to be removed earlier in the year and they can grow to around 7m tall.
This week an arborist came to town to inspect our Norfolk Island Pine Trees and provided advice on the management of these icons. She looked at a number of trees in a variety of different locations and will provide recommendations for how we can best look after these assets going into the future. Samples were taken at each location and these will be analysed in Perth. Norfolk Island Pines have a life expectancy of around 150 years and many of our trees are over 100 years old.
