The Shire of Esperance has launched a survey to gather community input regarding Christmas trading hours.
Following discussion in last week’s Ordinary Council Meeting, Council requested the desire within the Esperance community for a permanent change to Christmas trading hours be investigated.
Extended trading hours over the Christmas period are currently agreed between the Shire of Esperance and the Esperance Chamber of Commerce and Industry on an annual basis, before a recommendation of change is made to the Minister for Commerce.
