The Shire of Esperance runs a community perception survey on alternate years to enable Council to keep in touch with the current wishes of local residents, determine priorities and make the best decisions possible on behalf of the community, in line with our Strategic community Plan.
Over 1,000 people completed the 2013 Community Perception Survey and the results were very positive. 92 per cent of respondents declared they were happy to live in Esperance.
Overall the survey results indicate that the level of community satisfaction with Shire services, when benchmarked against the 2011 survey, has increased. Areas highlighted as being in need of improvement have also been noted.
