Lifeline WA - Talking about Suicide

This introductory session looks at common misunderstandings about suicide, signs to look out for, how to ask about suicide, and supports that can help. The workshop poses four questions to participants and offers information to help them arrive at their oen answers:

  • How common are suicide thoughts and behaviours?
  • Should we talk about suicide?
  • Can suicide be prevented?
  • What can I do to help?

Lifeline WA - Accidental Counsellor

Accidential Councillor* is aimed at those who would like to be able to safely and effectivly support friends, family, colleagues, and strangers who are in distress or experiencing a crisis.

The course will provide you with basic skills and a structure to enable you to provide immediate support and assistance using the 'Recognise, Respond, Refer' model.


Lifeline WA - Supporting Yourself and Others Workshop

This workshop covers key steps to recognise general signs of poorer mental wellbeing.

Stigma is one of the largest barriers to seeking help.
Social support and encouragement from others can have a positive influence.

What to expect:
An interactive and practical introductory workshop.

1pm - 4pm – Why do we click with some and not with others? – Discover strategies to build relationships, improve communications skills and identify you’re your personal potential.
