NAIDOC Week

Official celebrations will commence Monday, 3 July. At 9.30am there will be a Welcome to Country and Flag Raising Ceremony outside the Shire of Esperance Administration Building.

After the ceremony the Esperance Tjaltjraak Native Title Aboriginal Corporation is extending an invitation to “Walk with Us” and the Mandoornup Eagle puppet, down Andrew Street along the Esplanade to the Scout Hall. From 10am to 2pm there will be a range of activities including traditional dancing, necklace beading, storytelling and singing, traditional tools and more.

Skate Clinic May 27 & 28

Horizon Power, Southern Ports Authority and the Shire proudly present Esperance Tailtap Skate Clinics.

The aim of the Skate Clinics is to give all ages and abilities an opportunity to develop their skate skills. The new Esperance Skate Park has seen an increase in people wanting to learn to skate and experienced skaters looking to further their own skill sets.

Clinics will be hosted over Saturday & Sunday by coaches accredited by the Australian Skate Federation. These clinics will be FREE thanks to the support of Horizon Power and Southern Ports Authority.
