Drive-In Movie Night

We are hosting two FREE movie nights for the community, drive-in style!

A temporary drive-in cinema experience is being created on the Soccer Oval at the Greater Sports Ground on 19 and 20 June. Two movies will be shown on each night.

Garage Sale Trail is coming to Esperance on October 20 & 21.  It’s a free, fun and social way to raise money for community groups as well as clear out old stock, recruit new members and raise awareness of the good work you do locally. Community Tree Planting Day

-Join us for a bite to eat in the new Environment Centre after we finish planting.
-Lake Monjingup was affected by a bushfire in January 2015. The area is recovering well and more seedlings are needed to restore biodiversity, create habitat and protect the wetland.
-Gloves, shovels and drinking water will be provided.
-Please wear a hat and enclosed footwear.
-Meeting point: Flora Park toilet block (left side of Telegraph Road).

It is a particularly special year this year as we celebrate our 30th Anniversary of our Twin Towns relationship with the Île de Ré region.

A Day at the Museum

A brand new display for the Esperance Museum will open soon which showcases development of Agriculture in the Esperance.

The New Era in Agriculture display focusses on developments during the era of 1920 through to 1980s and tells the story of how the land in the region opened up to new farming practices through trial and error to make Esperance the farming region it is today.

The official opening of the New Era in Agriculture display will be on Saturday 3 March.

Come along to the Esperance Museum and learn about real Romans with Guy de la Bedoyere Time Team’s Roman Historian.

Take part in an Archaeological Dig. Construct a Roman Weapon.

Learn amazing facts about real Romans.

For ages 6+. Parental supervision required.

$5 entry (includes light refreshments).
