Community Resilience Scorecard

Mapping wellbeing and resilience throughout the regions.

The Shire of Esperance is participating in a MARKYT Community Resilience Scorecard survey with the aim of mapping community resilience, local government performance, and community needs in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Results from the survey will aid local leaders and decision makers to better understand how their communities are coping in relation to health, social relationships and work capacities, and what local governments need to prioritise to best support their communities during the recovery phase.

The unique study will see the Department of Local Government Sport and Cultural Industries, and 139 Western Australian Local Governments, collaborating together in order to access timely and relevant information.

The idea for a Scorecard was sparked by Local Government Professionals WA, the peak representative body of local government employees, after they recognised the shared need for information and so engaged the services of Perth-based consultancy provider CATALYSE.
