Community Citizen of the Year

Do you know someone who makes our community a better place?

The Australia Day WA Community Citizen of the Year Awards enable local governments to recognise community champions.

The Awards reward and recognise individuals and organisations that have made a noteworthy contribution during the current year, and/or give an outstanding service over a number of years, to a local community over and above normal employment duties.

Outstanding contribution and community service includes areas such as; education, health, fundraising, charitable and voluntary services, business, sport, arts, the environment, or any other area that contributes to the advancement and well being of our community.

There are four categories: 

  • Esperance Citizen of the Year;
  • Esperance Citizen of the Year - Senior;
  • Esperance Citizen of the Year - Youth and;
  • Esperance Active Citizenship (Group/Event)

Nominations open on the 1 September close on 31 October each year. All nominees will be recognised at an Australia Day ceremony. (e-form)
