A new boiler was installed at the Bay of Isles Leisure Centre in July 2016, since then our gas consumption has been reduced by 40%. Over the last 4 years the monthly average water consumption for the pools has been reduced by 152,313 litres per month. 

Solar panels were installed on the Shire Administration Building in October 2016 which has seen a reduction of approximately 160 daily units. 
Upgraded reticulation on the majority of our sporting fields has promoted more efficient water usage.

A glass crushing machine has been purchased for the waste facility. Recycled glass is no longer being sent out of the shire, it is now crushed locally and used in our road base materials. This saves $50k a year on freight costs alone.
