Registrations are now open for the Esperance BBQ Challenge, which will be held on Friday 20 October 2017 at the Esperance and Districts Agricultural Show.

Celebrity Butcher, Vince Garreffa will be coming to Esperance to judge The Esperance BBQ Challenge, a low and slow BBQ cooking contest for the BBQ enthusiast who wants to prove to their neighbours and friends that they have what it takes to be the best of the best in our local competition. This event will consist of teams of one to four cooks cooking either or all chicken, brisket, pork butt or pork ribs. By becoming a team with the Esperance BBQ Challenge you get to share in the love and flavors of backyard and competition BBQ, and help build interest in a regular championship and event that could bring visitors to Esperance from all over the country!

Some great prizes are up for grabs including a return flight to Perth for the whole winning team thanks to Regional Express airlines, and a $250 voucher from Mondo's Butcher and Delicatessen.

If you’d like to register as a team in the 2017 Esperance BBQ Challenge, please read the competition rules and complete the application form. Registration is free but you will be required to obtain show entry tickets for all participants in advance. Please note that there is a limited number of teams able to compete so registrations will close when that the maximum number has been reached.

Please return completed form to naomi.christensen@esperance.wa.gov.au or to the Shire Administration Building.
