Council has allocated funds for the purchase of new Christmas decorations that Esperance residents can expect to see in 2015.

Christmas decoration options for the future are currently being investigated, but since there is a 40 per cent surcharge on Christmas decorations purchased between July and December, Council will purchase new decorations early next year, in order to make the allocated funding go further.

This year Esperance town centre will be decorated with the same Christmas decorations as in previous years, with the exception of some rope lighting that has reached the end of its useable life. The Post Office Norfolk Pine has not been decorated for eight years as it is structurally unable to support decorations without damage being caused to the tree and a risk being posed to the public.
