Work on the construction of the Headland of the Esperance Waterfront Project is complete and contractors Italia Stone Group are now focusing on completing the sea wall that will run south from the Headland.

The gap between the Headland and the Tanker Jetty is presently being surveyed. A bridge to link the two is being designed and a local fabricator is ready to start building it.

The contractor has also relocated their site offices to allow the car park to be put back into use.

At present the plan is to have the jetty bridge in place and open to the public during August 2013. Access to the jetty will be temporary as it will need to be closed again periodically during the phases of construction of the car park and to enable landscaping work to take place.
